World Cup! (from my journal)

Grabe. Asteg! Hindi ganoon ka-exciting yung game tulad ng inaasahan ko. Di rin ganoon kaganda. Although na-predict ko nang mananalo ang Korea, maraming moments na kagila-gilalas.

I was a little disappointed with Korea's performance. Compared to them (who are World Cup veterans), Togo was small fish (it's their first World Cup). Togo ranked last among the teams, but Korea had great difficulty against them. And Park Ji Sung broke my heart and my expectations! He had a lot of opportunities for a shot, but he wasted a lot of them. Sayang. And the defense got a little weak during the second half. If theTogalese captain (Jean-Paul Abalo) hadn't gotten the red card, they probably wouldn't have recovered. But kudos to Lee Chun Soo and Ahn Jung Hwan for each scoring a goal! And the keeper too, who did a good job as well.

Pero in fairness sa Togo, I was really impressed by their performance. Although their little accidents (the patid moments) are a little...cheeky, their play was still good. Probably because of the morale boost brought about by the return of their coach. I was not expecting that first goal from them. And Kader is amazing! He easily slid past the Korean defense, giving him that easy shot. I think he's very good with that kasi hindi lang isang beses nangyari. He almost scored two more goals, and if Korea hadn't gotten that adrenaline rush, he probably would have.

Dagdag lang...ang daming gwapong maglaro, especially sa Korean side! May hitsura si Park Ji-Sung, cutie si Ahn Jung Hwan (but change the hair!), at yung number 12. ^___________^

Nga pala, kagabi ang unang pagkakataon na makasabay kong kumain si Harvey na hindi ako uminom ng alcohol. Beer kasi binili, buti na lang. Sarap ng buchimgae! ^_^
