My Cup of Tea
I do not drink coffee. I do not eat anything coffee-flavored. I have tried, a few times, but I just could not appreciate coffee. I was afraid of not growing tall, because my parents told me that coffee stunts growth. I also do not drink much soda. It's too heavy for me. I sometimes drink soda at fastfoods, but that happens very rarely, and I only drink soda after I finish my meal. I am allergic to beer, so I don't drink that. I tried if it will go away if I drank enough, but it didn't and the taste did not appeal to me anyway.
I drink water, milk, chocolate, fruit juices, and most recently, tea. I'm such a good child.
Somewhere in this blog (well, this one), I mentioned that I only make my tea like this: green tea + 2-3 calamansi + honey. No calamansi, no tea. No honey, no tea. It just doesn't taste right.
I started drinking tea around Christmas 2006. I went home from the field work in Davao, and I lost my voice. So I drank tea with calamansi and honey. Loved it immediately.
However, my recent trip to Sabah led me to a new discovery: teh susu. I liked it. I tried it at home (here in the Philippines) and it also tasted nice, but it wasn't as good as the teh susu in Sabah.
I'm writing this because I used my last tea bag this morning. I'm going to have to buy another box.
