Back to abnormal

Sinusubukan ko pa ring magsulat ng French na tanka. Ngayon, balik muna tayo sa normal na Western-style poem saka isang haiku (5-7-5, Beng).

Peace
Under the green canopy
Of the caterpillary tree
She sits on a stone bench
She'd been tired, it seems
Of the vast sky
Empty but for the faded moon
The weary sun
The barely-living stars
She had cast off her wings
Free for all to take
And plunged into the waters
Of a neverending ocean
But the ceaseless swimming was not for her to love
She had felt drowned, choked
Blinded by a thousand colors
She let herself rise to the waves
And be carried off, away
She woke among the rocks
Mastered them
Run on them until her bare feet
Were shriveled
And until she herself was withered
Now among the still waters
Embraced by the fragrances of the world
Under the shadow of the trees
She rests

Nocturne
Wade in sleeplessness
The night offers no solace
Just a restless cold
